My name is Helen Clawson. My family and I have lived in Cheshire for the last 17 years, currently residing in Middlewich.
I am a retired police officer of 14 years’ service, where I served as a response officer and later a neighbourhood police officer, engaging with residents to make a positive change to their community.
Upon retirement, I returned to education, earning a BSc in Abuse Studies, including politics and later graduated with a Masters in Criminology.
I have been using my knowledge and experience to voluntarily assist victims of police abuse and miscarriages of justice. I also run my own business Adaptive Clothing UK, work with a charity as a domestic abuse psychoeducation facilitator ang volunteer as a buddy with another wonderful charity.
I believe independents can genuinely represent their community in parliament. Being independent is about putting people and communities before politics, not toeing a party line ad forcing party agenda to the detriment of constituents.
